Armenian artist Mikayel Ohanjanyan, winner of the Golden Lion for the Armenian Pavilion at the 2015 Venice Biennale, has chosen to express himself using Oikos materials at his first solo exhibition in Milan as part of the “La Statale Arte”, a new and exciting cultural event launched by the University of Milan.
Launched by two expert commentators, Michele de Lucchi and Andrea Branzi, this exhibition aimed to investigate the true meaning of substance. The exhibition took place in the Hall of Mirrors in Palazzo Litta and featured sixteen scenes arising from anthropological research and intended to represent environments on the edge of society.
“Future Flowers”, an installation in the Farmacia Courtyard at the University of Milan, was “a composition dedicated to the joys of light, colour and the magic of a straight line” and was a three-dimensional interpretation of a design by Libeskind in his series “Chamberwork”.
